Track & Field – Texas Tech

When I come back to Peoria, Illinois from Lubbock, Texas the only person that I trust with my training is Joe Terry. I began working with him after my junior year at Texas Tech University where I tore my hamstring at the regional meet. That year I had ran the 5th fastest time in the world in theĀ 800 and was scared that after that injury I would not be able to return to my former ability. Joe Terry was not only the primary person in my recovery, but he also went above and beyond his job meeting with me at the track. Because of Joe Terry I was able to return that next semester and win the Big XII Championship in the 800 meters, gain a 5th All-American honor, and sign a professional contract. I owe that season, as well as the opportunity to continue my career to Joe. When I return to Peoria, the only person I will allow to have a part in my training is Joe Terry. He has the knowledge to make average athletes great and to make great athletes elite.
